Architectural Computer-Aided Drafting Technician, Level I Certificate (Pending Approval from the THECB)

This certificate is designed for the beginning technician or the practicing professional who wishes to work in construction‐related industries. It includes two courses which cover the use of the AutoCAD software to produce simple two‐dimensional construction drawings used in industry. In addition to a basic understanding of AutoCAD, the student will learn three‐dimensional SketchUp software which provides a means to create presentation drawings. The courses in this program presume no previous background in the use of AutoCAD.
