The Associate of Science in Nursing is offered via different program tracks. The Generic program track is for individuals without any prior medical experience seeking to work as a registered nurse in healthcare. Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to test for the Registered Nurse license.
To support our students and provide the richest evidenced based nursing practice, SAC nursing joined the Texas Concept Based Consortium. As a member of a 32 school Concept Based Curriculum consortium, this program utilizes a unique and successful concept approach to nursing theories and practices. The intent of the curriculum is to prepare nurses at the entry level to work in healthcare providing safe and quality care.
