ENGL 2351 - Mexican American LiteraturePrerequisites: ENGL 1301 or its equivalent with a "C" or better and ENGL 1302 or ENGL 2311 or their equivalents with a "C" or better. A study of the fiction, non-fiction, poetry and drama of Mexican American or Chicano/a writers. May include the study of Hispanic and pre-Columbian traditions that have influenced Mexican-American literature. This is a writing intensive course that requires a written research project. This course fulfills the Language, Philosophy, and Culture foundational component area of the core, and addresses the following required objectives: Critical Thinking, Communication, Social Responsibility, and Personal Responsibility.
