MDCA 1471 - Advanced Procedures in a Clinical Setting

Corequisites: MDCA 1313, MDCA 1302, MDCA 1305, MDCA 1409, MDCA 1317

Math Basic Skills Prerequisite: MATH 0410

Emphasis on performance of more sophisticated procedures, examinations, and treatment as directed by physician. Includes ECG with basic interpretation, urinary catheterization, assisting with minor surgery, wound care and dressing changes, pulmonary function testing, nebulization, assisting with colonoscopy and ostomy care as would be found in the ambulatory health care setting.
