ASTR 1404 - Solar System Integrated Reading & Writing Basic Skills Prerequisite: INRW 0420
Math Basic Skills Prerequisite: MATH 0320 This course is intended for non-science majors needing a laboratory science course. Topics include the origin and evolution of our solar system, including Newton’s and Kepler’s Laws, planetary atmospheres, surface processes (including impact cratering, volcanism, and plate tectonics), rings, moons, asteroids, and comets. Visits to the Scobee Planetarium and some field trips may be held for telescopic observation of interesting phenomena.
