ASTR 1370 - Introductory Astronomy
Writing Basic Skills Prerequisite: ENGL 0301
Reading Basic Skills Prerequisite: READ 0303
Math Basic Skills Prerequisite: MATH 0302
This course is a descriptive survey of astronomy. Topics include the history of astronomy, observing techniques, the solar system, stars and galaxies, and an introduction to cosmological theories. Visits to the Scobee Planetarium and observing field trips may be held.
