General Registration Information
Spring 2014 Registration begins on September 16, 2013 and proceeds according to time ticketing. Time ticketing is based on the total number of hours earned from the Alamo Colleges plus any transfer hours that have been posted to your record, as reflected in the Student ACES System. All first-time-in-college students are encouraged to begin the enrollment process early in order to complete all admissions, testing, and registration requirements by the posted deadlines. The Steps to Enrollment: Quick Guide provides a checklist of requirements.
In 2013-2014, the colleges are closed: Monday, September 2; Thursday, November 28-Sunday, December 1; Monday, December 23-Sunday, January 5; Monday, January 20; Thursday, March 13-Sunday, March 16; Friday, April 18-Sunday, April 20; Friday, April 25; Monday, May 26; and Thursday and Friday, July 3 & 4. The colleges are also closed on Fridays from June 3-August 2.
Open registration for all students beginning November 18 also applies to the following categories of students:
- Newly Admitted
- Dual Credit
- Gateway
- Early College High School
- Academies
- Senior Citizens not using a tuition waiver
- Virtual College
Check the number of hours on your record by following these steps:
- Log into the ACES portal with your Alamo Colleges ID and Password (If you do not have your Alamo Colleges ID and password follow the instructions located at “Logging into ACES.”)
- Select Student
- Select Web Services
- Select Student and Financial Aid
- Select Registration
- Select Registration Status
- Select the appropriate Term from the drop-down menu and select Submit
- Under the Earned Credit heading you will see the hours you have on your student record.

- Select Alamo Colleges Account Suite. This will take you to the TouchNet Payment website.
- To pay in full select Make a Payment
- To sign up for the Installment Plan, select Enroll in Plan
