Integrated Reading & Writing Basic Skills Prerequisite: INRW 0420
Math Basic Skills Prerequisite: MATH 0320 Introduction to professional nursing concepts and exemplars within the professional nursing roles: member of profession, provider of patient-centered care, patient safety advocate, and member of the health care team. Content includes clinical judgment, communication, ethical-legal, evidenced-based practice, health promotion, health information technology , patient-centered care, patient education, professionalism, safety, and team/collaboration. Emphasizes role development of the professional nurse. This course lends itself to a concept-based approach.
