Administrative Systems Specialist I, Level I Certificate


The Administrative Computer Technology department offers a three-level certificate program designed to meet the needs of students who primarily seek employment skills.  The Administrative Systems Specialist I Level I Certificate is the second in a ladder of three successive certificates—-Office Technician, 18 hours; Administrative Systems Specialist I, 30 hours; and Administrative Systems Specialist II, 45 hours.  These certificates lead next to the Administrative Assistant AAS degree.  After completing one of the 18-, 30-, or 45-hour certificate plans, students will have sufficient skills to obtain employment in certain entry-level jobs or to advance in their current position.  Courses at each level are included on the next level and all lead toward the Associate of Applied Science degree.  The Administrative Systems Specialist, Level I Certificate emphasizes communication, software, and office management skills.
