DAAC 2373 - Professional Ethical Considerations and Development
Prerequisites: DAAC 1171, DAAC 1304, DAAC 1319, DAAC 2307, DAAC 2330, PSYT 2339, PSYT 2301 Corequisites: PMHS 2166, PMHS 2167
This course examines ethical issues, codes of ethics, and professionalism associated with Addiction Counseling. This course explores selected current events, skills, knowledge and behaviors pertinent to student’s occupational readiness and performance. Topics may also include counselor portfolios, counselor intern procedures, test preparation, community service and other topics relevant to professional development.
Time will be utilized at the beginning of each class as supervision time for Practicum participation in these discussions is required.
