ASTR 1303 - Stars and Galaxies Lecture This course is a descriptive course in stellar, galactic, and extra-galactic astronomy intended for non-science majors. Topics include celestial coordinates, light and telescopes, stars, the Milky Way, external galaxies, cosmology, and dark matter. Visits to the Scobee Planetarium and some field trips may be held for telescopic observation of interesting phenomena.
