INSR 1391 - Special Topics in Insurance: Principles of Insurance Topics address recently identified current events, skills, knowledge, and/or attitudes and behaviors pertinent to the technology or occupation and relevant to the professional development of the student. This course was designed to be repeated multiple times to improve student proficiency. This course presents a thorough and comprehensive introduction to the field of insurance while emphasizing the consumer. It examines the concepts of risk and the nature of the insurance product in the traditional fields of life and health as well as property, including homeowners’ and automobile insurance addressed in this course.
