Return to: Degree Plans & Certificates - Academic/Technical The Information Technology and Security Academy (ITSA) Certificate is a standalone certificate specially created for the Information Technology and Security Academy to compliment the high school technology skill set. It may be completed in a student’s junior and senior high school years and prepares them to design, implement and secure computer networks.
After performing well in this curriculum the student will be on his or her way to sit for the CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCENT, LPIC-1, and Linux+ certifications which is a great way to start a career in the IT industry. It also prepares them to sit for the Cisco Routing and Switching (CCNA) certification. Earning certifications shows not only that you have the right knowledge and skills to do the job, but also that you are dedicated to your IT career. Many companies, including Microsoft, Ricoh, Lenovo and Cisco, recommend or require CompTIA certification and / or Cisco certification programs.
ITSY 1342 in this degree has been approved by National Security Agency, NSA certification.
